New Chief Financial Officer joined The D. E. Shaw Group
Christopher Zaback has joined D. E. Shaw & Co., L.P- a global investment and technology development firm and having offices in North America, Europe, and Asia, as its new chief financial officer and as a managing director as per announcement made by The D. E. Shaw group.
Mr. Zaback will supervise the firm’s accounting, tax, and financial operations units, and will report to Mr. Steckler a managing director and a member of the firm’s executive committee and he will preserve overall accountability for all finance, back office, administration, and legal and conformity functions along with for most firm-wide infrastructure.
According to Mr. Steckler with the help of Christopher’s expertise and smoothness with complex financial reporting would allow him to devote time on planning and execution of firm-wide initiatives as their infrastructure keep on growing to support their global business. Mr. Zaback served as co-chief operating officer and earlier as chief financial officer at Sandelman Partners, LP. In the middle office of Moore Capital Management, LLC, he worked as a director and the co-head.
